Born to a truck driver and a stenographer, Line Renaud's passion for music was sparked by her father, a trumpeter in the local brass band.
At the tender age of seven, she captivated an amateur talent competition with her expressive voice.
WWII and Hidden Talent
During World War II, Renaud's father fought on the front, leaving the family isolated in their hometown.
Her education was entrusted to her grandmother and great-grandmother. A tragic turn of events, witnessing the execution of neighbors by Nazi soldiers, led Renaud to secretly apply to the Lille Conservatory.
