Sir Michael Francis AtiyahOM FRS FRSE FMedSci FAA FREng[2] (; 22 April 1929 – 11 January 2019) was an English mathematician specialising in geometry.[3] He won the Fields Medal in 1966 and the Abel Prize in 2004.
He was president of the Royal Socie
