What made this award a fair and pleasant watch was the fact that unlike the previous award shows where Varun Dhawan won the Best Actor award for 'Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya', over Irrfan Khan and Rajkummar Rao and 'Golmaal Again' took home the award for Best Film, Filmfare critics took the other road, making some equitable choices.
